Being a parent is an extremely difficult job, where a little human being is depending on you to become there everything and that is why we salute to every parent that was able to raise their children properly. Jennica Garcia who was a former actress and GMA talent has now changed her venture and is now working as a full-time mom to her daughter Athena Mori with her husband Alwyn Uytingco. The two married way back in 2014 and gave birth to their adorable daughter last July 17, 2015. Sha says that nurturing her child is probably the happiest job she could ever ask for.
Her husband Alwyn proudly says that her wife has made a career out of becoming a mom and is surely doing great in becoming one. One of Jennica’s greatest achievements is potty-training their daughter Mori at only nine months old. She knew how to go potty already even before she could walk which is truly amazing. Jennica says that she loves becoming a full-time mom because she has the opportunity to see her daughter grow up with her hands on taking care of her. She gets to witness every big or small thing that is happening to her daughter’s life. She proudly says that she is the first best friend her daughter knows of. But what is greater about Jennica and Alwyn as parents is that they are not your typical 21st century parents.
According to them, they allow their daughter to explore around nature and let her to get down and dirty. For them, there is no fear of getting bruises for their daughter because they believe that it is easier to clean wounds than just let her sit around and do nothing where she won’t learn anything.
She will value the experience more if she experiences it first hand with her parents along her to guide her in every adventure. They also do not allow her to have plastic toys or any gadgets at all, for they give her organic and natural toys to live a simple life. For her birthday, Alwyn bought her daughter soil, plant boxes and herbs which serve as their bonding time as father and daughter which is planting, which is both educational and fun. For they believe that by teaching children to live simply as early as possible, then children will learn to cherish even the simplest thing in life. With that children will be content even just by simple things to gain happiness from just being together and not yearning for material things.
