According to USA Today, a man almost lost his life as one of the most feared se creatures attacked him in the open ocean as he experienced this when he was just trying to catch fish with a spear underwater – or spearfishing.
Parker Simpson went spearfishing near Stock Island, Florida when a gigantic 7-foot shark suddenly attacked him out of nowhere and totally damaged him. According to Simpson who is a 23-year-old resident of Key West, he narrated and described the traumatizing incident on his own GoFundMe page in the internet.
He and his companion were near the Middle Sambo Reef off Bico Chica in the Florida Keys as they were spearfishing when the shark came and attacked them. His friend was attacked first but Simpson was not able to escape and was caught in the dangerous situation. The shark actually caught him and had bitten him pretty bad and as they fighting against the sea beast, the animal dis not stop and kept coming for them.
Simpson said that his friend went for his gun and attacked the creature by shoving it into the latter’s mouth, which gave them time to escape and immediately retreated to their boat. The good thing about what happened was that Simpson was not alone so he had help. He would also like to advise everyone in his post in his page, that if you have any plans at all, do always dive with someone and make sure that the individual is trained in handling situations that require first-aid training, incase of circumstances like what has happened to him.
Simpson said that the damage done by the shark to his leg was extremely severe, wherw the sea beast totally tore through the skin, fat tissue, muscle, muscle sheath, including his tibial artery. He was thankful that he did not lose that much blood to be at the critical level but he indeed has gone through hell with stitches that took the doctors three and a half hour to treat his his severe injuries which were in fact, 56 stitches in total. He very lucky that he did not lose so much blood in the incident, which could have been so much dangerous. He is thankful to have a second life and be able to escape his death.
