Kris Aquino announced that shes open to people franchising nacho bimbi pilipinas


Nowadays, the Queen of All Media Kris Aquino is busy being a food entrepreneur. She might not be causing much noise now in the showbiz industry but little people know that she has her own food business. It’s a food cart called Nacho Bimby Pilipinas that serves tortilla chips with a variety of dressings and pure ground beef. According to Entrepreneur Philippines, Kris named her business after her second son, James Yap Jr., who is publicly known as Bimby because his favorite snack is reportedly Tex-Mexcuisine, which is generally a fusion of American and Mexican food that is filled with cheese, meat, beans, and spices.

The source even quoted that Kris in one of her videos on her official Facebook page, where she talked about her food business that has currently garnered 66 thousand views and around 2.3 thousand likes as of now. The Queen of All Media said that it was just actually an experiment and that she didn’t know that it could grow into something like that. She said that she did not know she could do business good as well.

The source noted that she has been investing in several food brands as a franchisee and that she is a co-owner of several branches of Chowking, where she is also a celebrity endorser. She also co-manages Mang Inasal and some branches of Potato Corner. The business manager of Nacho Bimby Pilipinas, Nicko Falcis, who revealed that Kris was supposed to invest in another franchised branch of Potato Corner in 2015. The “Queen of All Media” shared in a video that was uploaded on their YouTube channel “The Aquinos” that Don Hernandez encouraged her to build her own brand instead, where he is her business partner.

Then by September 2015, Kris Aquino opened her first branch of Potato Corner + Nacho Bimby (PC+NB) in the Promenade Mallin San Juan City, where her business partner shared that it took them 18 months to perfect the business model for PC+NB. The first year taught them how to maximize our operations and to take the calculated steps and opened PC+NB across different mall chains to fully assess our potential.

Now, the Potato Corner + Nacho Bimby Pilipinas has 8 company-owned branches in the whole ofMetro Manila and most of them are located in mall cinemas. Falcis shared that they decided to partner with Potato Corner because they wanted to be as big as the established fries business.
As of the year 2015, Potato Corner had already around ₱1 billion worth of sales where Nacho Bimby Pilipinas has 3 more additional stalls that were set up by franchisees. In total, it has 11 stalls in Metro Manila where Falcis shared that they had two set-ups which is a partner store is a joint venture between the mother company and franchisee and on the other hand, a full franchise store is 100 percent owned by the franchisee.

According to the source of the report, the brand has different store formats that range from 30square meters to 45 square meters in size, with investments ranging from Php2 million to Php3.5 million. The packages already include the construction of the branch, store equipment, staff training, marketing support and initial inventory that may last for up to two weeks of operations. Meanwhile, the franchisees may opt not to franchise Potato Corner and just handle Nacho Bimby Pilipinas.

Kris Aquino the Queen of All Media said that: “The investment is not so big so we got the ROI (return on investment) quickly. From our experience, it’s about 30 months.” Falcis said that they aim to close twenty franchising deals at the end of 2017. In the next twelve months, they also aim to open branches of Potato Corner + Nacho Bimby Pilipinas in Davaoand Cebu.
