The Sunday late night show Gandang Gabi Vice has been one of the most popular show in the Kapamilya Network. It has been creating a buzz lately with the pranks that its guests have been pulling on each other which seems to be getting on the viewers good side. Some of the celebrities who were involved in these pranks with the shenanigans are like Ronnie Alonte, Lani Misalucha, Coco Martin, John Lloyd Cruz, and Sarah Geronimo. However, the recent victim is RnB singer, Jay-R who has been tricked by close friends, Billy Crawford and Kris Lawrence on the said show.
The comedienne asked Billy, Kris and Jay-R, also known as the Soul Brothers, what names they called each other when they are joking around. Vice Ganda then asked who among them was called “elevator shoes”, where Billy and Jay-R immediately pointed at Kris. The term elevator shoes are footwear which has hidden heels which helps to enhance one’s height. It is mostly used by men as they do not wear traditional women’s heels and it seems that Lawrence was offended by it. Then Vice asked who started calling the singer that name and Jay-R answered it was Billy, then that was the time the argument sparked. As Billy continued teasing Kris that he wears the said footwear, Kris was annoyed and strongly denied it.
Furthermore, it seems that Lawrence’s mood obviously changed and appears to be mad at Billy. He said that some inside jokes are meant to be kept within their group and not broadcasted in public because some are private and needs to be respected. On the other hand, Jay-R was smiling all throughout of what was happening and it clearly seems that he notices that there is something wrong going on.
Meanwhile, Billy called Kris insensitive, where Kris then asked Billy why he was never invited in the “It’s Showtime” host’s proposal in which Crawford said that he forgot because he felt pressured and nervous at the time.
The two started exchanging swear words and rebuttals between the each other and are now quarreling. Then Billy asked Lawrence if he wanted to ‘square up’, that is when the two stood up and was about to get into a fist fight, then that was when Jay-R decided to go in between them and stop the ruckus. Moreover, the staff already went on-stage to the separate as well to stop Billy and Kris.
The crew brought the singers backstage, where Jay-R followed Kris and tried to talk him up. The three later retreated to the stage, where Billy and Kris eventually revealed that their fight was just a prank. Jay-R looks shocked at first, but soon, relief flooded over his features and he was smiling again. The host, Vice Ganda and the staff are all part of the prank.
