Grade 11 Student was Killed due to Alleged Drug Possesion but CCTV Footage Shows Different Story

Just this Wednesday night, teenager Kian Loyd Delos Santos was killed during the One Time Big Time also known as Oplan Galugad which is an operation of the Philippine National Police in Brgy. 160 in Caloocan City. According to the spot report of Caloocan Police that was stated in the news, the alleged Grade 11 student took a gunshot to his body, after he reportedly drew a firearm to gun down the coming police officers who were supposedly going to arrest him.

The police allegedly found two sachets of suspected shabu, a .45 caliber pistol, and four bullets on the 17-year-old Kian. However the CCTV footage that was recording in that area, showed a different scenario of what truly went down. In the video, there were two men in civilian clothes that were seen dragging a young man to an unseen spot, while onlookers watched. A few minutes later, another man followed his companions. According to one witness of the incident, she heard that the men were ordering Kian to hold the gun. Of course the teenager was bewildered and asked, “Anong pong gagawin ko dito?” That’s when the men said: “Iputok mo! Tapos tumakbo ka!”

One witness told ABS-CBN that she still saw Kian tearfully run for his life and shortly thereafter, he was gunned down. Now despite all the horrible news, Kian’s father, Saldy Delos Santos, denied that his son is a drug addict. In fact, Kian dreamed of becoming a policeman someday. The teenager was also a good son, to which his neighbors could attest to. Saldy also questioned the policemen’s claim that his son had a gun on him during the shootout. If the cops knew Kian had a gun, they would have discovered it when they pat him down for weapons before dragging him away.

In another news report, the victim’s uncle, Randy Delos Santos, asked bystanders for their firsthand account. One of the drug suspects saw the policemen approaching, so he passed a packet to the victim. Now afraid of getting caught, Kian also ran. Meanwhile, according to Chief Inspector Amor Cerillo, PCP7 commander, the teenager was believed to be the runner of a certain Neneng Escopino, who was a drug pusher on the police watch list. Kian, on the other hand, was not found on any list. Netizens were enraged with what happened to the teenager.
