CELEBRITIES WHO SUFFERED AND OVERCOME POLYCYSTIC OVARIAN SYNDROME (PCOS) !!! MUST SEE THIS!!!


Most of the women nowadays tend to suffer from an illness called Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome or PCOS, in which a hormonal imbalance occurs causing the body to produce an excessive amount of male hormones. Those women who have PCOS suffer from irregular or no menstrual period, heavy period, excess body and facial hair, acne, pelvic pain, difficulty in getting pregnant, and weight gain.

Unfortunately, since the illness is genetic, PCOS doesn’t have any cure and can only be treated from time to time to lessen the damage to the person affected. It is estimated that there are around one in every 10 to 15 women of childbearing age are affected by this illness. With that said, celebrities are not exempted from having PCOS and there are female celebrities who admitted that they are suffering from this  illness, where they also shared how they take care of it.

Kristine Hermosa
- Kristine Hermosa Sotto, professionally as Kristine Hermosa, is a Spanish Filipina actress. She is well known for portraying the role of Ynamorata "Yna" Macaspac in the prime time drama series, Pangako Sa ’Yo.
- According to her mother-in-law, Dina Bonnevie, Kristine suffers from PCOS which is why she had a difficult time conceiving. However, she was eventually able to overcome the illness and now has children of her own.

Jillian Michaels
- Jillian Michaels is an American personal trainer, businesswoman, author and television personality from Los Angeles, California. Michaels is best known for her appearances on NBC, particularly The Biggest Loser.
- Jillian originally joined The Biggest Loser in order to address her weight problems from having PCOS. She also disclosed that aside from PCOS, she also suffered from endometriosis which is a complication from having the illness.

Emma Thompson
- Emma Thompson is a British actress and screenwriter. She is known for her portrayals of reticent women, often in period dramas and literary adaptations, and playing haughty or matronly characters with a sense of irony.
- The British actress known for her roles in movies such as Harry Potter and Nanny McPhee suffered a miscarriage before and has battled infertility for many years. In order to conceive, she considered in-vitro fertilization (IVF) which then resulted to her giving birth to her child, Gaia in 1999.

Jools Oliver
- The wife of famous chef Jamie Oliver confessed that she suffers from irregular periods and PCOS. She took the fertility drug “Clomid” in order to conceive.

Rebecca Atkinson
- Rebecca Atkinson is an English actress and model best known for playing Karen Maguire in Shameless from 2004 until 2013 when the series ended.
- Although her PCOS symptoms are mild, the Shameless star admitted that she suffers from irregular periods.

Victoria Beckham
- Victoria Caroline Beckham, OBE is an English businesswoman, fashion designer, model, and singer. In the late 1990s, Beckham rose to fame with the all-female pop group Spice Girls, and was dubbed Posh Spice.
- Posh Spice is also a victim of PCOS and says she takes special measures to keep an ideal body weight. Because of this, she was able to give birth to all her lovely children.
