The grandson of Senator Kiko Pangilinan revealed recently that he was reportedly being bullied and beaten up by certain fraternity members in Adamson University. According to the report done by Manila Bulletin, the 18-year-old Robert Pangilinan is a student of Adamson currently studying Hotel Management. He went to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and reported how a certain fraternity supposedly beat him as other students simply watched last August 7, 2017.
Pangilinan said he was barely able to escape from their harassment that day and that the frat members have been targeting him since last year. He said that
particular fraternity always bullied him and that they were getting in him every time the members see him. He was recruited by the fraternity with the promise that they will never hurt him. Marissa, Robert’s mother, said that he already joined the frat but the group did not stop from bullying him.
One of Robert’s teachers described him as a good student with high grades and was very jolly, until the frat began bullying him. According to that teacher, they could not possibly do anything for the fraternity Tau Gamma had always been around bullying people. He advised Pangilinan to rest and transfer schools, for even the teachers fear for his life if he stayed their.
The Pangilinan family had already contacted the school administration about this alleged harassment, however they did not get any response from them. The family said that the 15 members of the fraternity will be charged with grave threat and serious physical injury, where NBI Bureau Head Agent Palmer Mallari said this matter with be investigated immediately. “We beg the Adamson community to help us on this case, our son is not the only one who is being bullied by that fraternity because it was no brotherhood and camaraderie,” said Marissa. Even the Tau Gamma Phi from Adamson did not release a statement as of now.
