Being a mom means more than having given birth to a child. It’s loving and knowing a soul before you even see it. It’s carrying and caring for a life completely dependant on you for survival. It’s giving air to the lungs that grew within you, and sight to the eyes that will never see you as anything but mommy.
It’s a blessing, a gift, a relationship that never ends and a love that never dies. It’s the best thing I have ever become, the greatest love I have ever felt and the best part about being me.
New and once afraid to step in the world of motherhood, Mariel Rodriguez-Padilla is now over joyed and grateful to become a mom as she conceived her unica hija Baby Isabella who is her daughter to actor husband Robin Padilla. She may have struggled through her journey into becoming a mom but she didn't mind all that because now she can become a mom, a role she never expected she will love.
All she wanted before was a life of adventure to travel with Robin, that is why she was so afraid to commit and become a mom. However, little did she know that the greatest adventure she will face is now the growth of her baby Isabell. Now all her perspectives in life has definitely changed as she became a mom.
Before Baby Isabell, Mariel had two miscarriages and that is why with the pregnancy of Baby Isabell, she did a complete bed rest and did everything that it would take to conceive her properly and now Isabell is the best gift that she has receive.
Mariel is a hands on mommy to Isabell despite having five nannies to take care of her. She now enjoys the minimal tasks that a mommy has duties for like changing diapers and feeding the baby. It was also difficult fir Mariel to produce milk, however she did not give up until she produced milk for Isabell.
Last July 21, Mariel started planning Isabella's first real birthday celebration and at the same time she is being a wonderful stepmom to Kylie Padilla as well who is about to become a mother as well.
When Mariel was asked if she missed being the old her, she simply said, “I used to be her everyday… Now, I’m rarely her hehe. I don’t mind…I love her, but i love Isabella more.” “You are everything mom has prayed for and more.”
