Kapamilya actor James Reid who is the other half of the JaDine love team, finally spoke with regards the issue about his on-screen pair up, real life partner Nadine Lustre’s statement on their live-in relationship and details about it.
According to James as he was on an interview with the Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP) and Cinema News during the set of Sunday variety show ASAP, he agrees with what his girlfriend’s stance is. He does not know of the full content of the matter, however he agrees to what Nadine said. When the reporters asked him if he feels bothered or affected about Nadine being bashed on social media, James just shrugged and said that he is not affected at all.
The issue hit the couple earlier this month and fired a lot more when Nadine answered by saying she neither confirms nor denies anything with regards if she and James are living together already. The multimedia princess posed a blunt answer saying to everyone, "I mean if that was true so what? Di ba? I am not gonna confirm and I am not gonna deny but then like ano naman?” She said it should not be a big deal for others if she and James are living together already because it is their private life even if they are public figures. She also stated that there are even younger couples who find the idea of living together normal, so why wouldn’t it be for them as well and saying that it is already 2017 and the matter is not that much of a big deal.
However Nadine’s statement drew mixed reactions from netizens and even accused her of being ‘immoral’ and a not-so-good influence for the younger generation because of her choices. But despite all the recent controversies and issues the actress assured the she was totally not affected by the online bashing and did not even bothered to waste her time about it. She says that it is absolutely normal that we can not please everybody with our choices, and all she intends to do is not to lie to her fans who are whole-heartedly supporting her.
Nadine expressed her gratitude towards those who supported her amid all the controversies that were thrown to her and her boyfriend James. She is very thankful to those who believed in her and supported her no matter what.
