The former politician and action star, Bong Revilla Jr. asked people on Facebook to continue their prayers for his father Ramon Revilla Sr. (who was a former politician and actor as well) who underwent a surgery.
On Bong Revilla’s Facebook account, he posted about his father’s successful operation last Monday.
He stated “Operation went very well!!! Praise GOD. They will bring him to CCU first for monitoring.
Continue praying for daddy’s fast recovery and free from complications. GOD IS GOOD!!!! Maraming Salamat po sa inyong patuloy na pagdarasal para sa aming ama,”
Bong Revilla Jr. was once taken into custody due to being accused of pork barrel funds. The accusations against him were previously denied by the actor. The Sandigan bayan First Division approved Bong to go outside the jail to visit his ill father who celebrated his 90th year already this Friday.
They allowed them to visit his father on June 19, from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and on June 20, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Ramon Revilla Sr. was admitted to St. Luke’s Medical Center located at Bonifacio Global City, Taguig to undergo for an operation due to his “Valvular Heart Disease, Severe Mitral Regurgitation, Congestive Heart Failure, and NYHA FC II”, as claimed by Mr. Revilla’s petition last week.
Bong Revilla’s father underwent Percutaneous Mitral Clip procedure this Monday.
Bong told everyone on Facebook that he and his brother went to visit their father in the hospital. According to his Facebook post,
“My dad’s operation is ongoing. I, along with my siblings, saw him before he entered the operating room and we all witnessed his high spirits and apparent strength and confidence that he can get through all these.” He continued: “Despite my fervent wish to be with my father at this time, I am now going back to the Custodial Center considering that I am only given 4 hours by the court today. Please continue to pray for my father’s successful operation and fast recovery.”
He has also thanked everyone for their continuous support. “Thank you very much for all your support. See you again tomorrow Daddy,” He added. Posted by Bacoor Mayor Lani Mercado, Bong’s wife, on Facebook – she asked to keep praying for her in-laws.
