Rita Gaviola is a Teen Housemate in Pinoy Big Brother Season 7, Rita is dubbed as the ‘’Badjao Girl’’ of Lucena because of her ethnic background, She was evicted in the second week of the TV reality show, and became popular because of the Viral photo taken by Topher Quinto Burgo during the Pahiyas Festival in Lucban, Quezon while she was begging in the streets.
Her father works as a Garbage man and her mother stays at home to take care of her younger siblings. They do not eat 3 meals a day, they escaped from Zamboanga to alleviate their social status but ended up begging food in Barra City Lucena.
Fortunately Rita became popular for that single photo, people flooded her family with donations, also all the Badjao community got the exposure and the help they need. Now Rita did several photoshoots with top photographers and was also given a chance to be a housemate in PBB. Rita is now slowly reaching her dreams, with love and support from her family.
