Friday night along Quezon Boulevard 13 individual was injured by an explosion made by a homemade pipe bomb. According to the witness they saw a ‘’riding in tandem’’ throwing an explosive in the area near the Quiapo church. Two victims were seriously hurt one is transported to Jose Reyes Medical Center and one to Philippine General Hospital.
PNP NCR Chief Director Oscar Albayalde deemphasize the incident as a terrorist attack but highlights the possibility of it to be associated in a gang war in Quiapo.
However due to this event ASEAN Summit heightened their security measures due to 9 foreign leaders is here in the country.
