Despite the social stigma that is often associated with being an adopted child, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with being being one. Children who had been orphaned or left by their parents deserve to be loved too and experience to have a family. No child should ever have to grow up never having known the love and bond only a parent can give to a child. It really does not matter if a person’s father or mother wasn’t their biological parents, as long as the only thing that truly matters is when a parent can raise their children to be strong, respectful, decent and loving adults. Take this beautiful and touching story of a Wowowin contestant, who shared his life’s story with comedian-host Willie Revillame and the rest of the Kapuso crowd in his show.
Netizens all over were in tears after finding out the hardship Jerms felt while growing up as an orphan kid. Willie asked Jerms what his father’s job was, which is the time when Jerms replied, “Actually, Will hindi ko po tunay na tatay eh. Bale adopted child ako." That’s when the contestant started to get emotional and said that: "Ano po kasi e. 8 years old po ako inadopt ako ng tatay-tatayan ko po ngayon. So hangang ngayon magkasama po kami,” Jerms then reveal his heartbreaking story of how his biological father left him and his 4 other siblings at a hotel by themselves. He said that his biological mother had passed away and his family was left bankrupt, to which they couldn’t pay for their house so they were kicked out.
Then his biological father became very depressed, where he decided he would hitched a ride to a hotel with money they owed and that is when the father left them alone. Thankfully God is truly good, for his life would come around when a family friend referred Jerms and his siblings to kind single man who adopted them all. Jerms the adopted child then took the time to express his gratitude towards his adoptive father, while his father did the same.
