Recently a heartfelt reunion occurred for the Unkabogable Kapamilya star Vice Ganda, where he took some time during a live broadcast of ABS-CBN’s noontime variety show, “It’s Showtime", to acknowledge one very special member that was seated at the audience.
Surprisingly, it was none other the comedian’s first year high school teacher.
At the beginning of the show, Vice Ganda greeted a woman in the front row identified as Ms. Milagros Canares, to whom Vice said in excitement that he wanted to acknowledge the presence of his favorite English teacher-adviser Ms. Milagros Canares who he is glad see again after a long time.
Vice’s co-hosts Amy Perez, Anne Curtis and Vhong Navarro all greeted the comedian’s guest of honor as well and welcomed her to Showtime. Vice then ran immediately to the first row to embrace his favorite teacher while a bouquet of flowers was standing by to be offered to her. He then shared with everyone that it has been decades since their last meeting and he is glad to have the chance to see his favorite teacher once again.
Then, Anne Curtis asked when Vice became Ms. Canares’ student, where Ms. Canares said that it was during the 80’s. That was the moment when the audience members and the hosts suddenly exclaimed their big laughs at Vice’s expense with the remark indicating that Vice is indeed old, despite of what he claims to be. He exclaimed that it was 1989 to be exact and said his remarks to Ms. Canares saying that he is very much happy to see her and that he misses and loves the old woman.
Ms. Canares replied saying that she misses the star as well and she is very much proud of what he has became to be. As a matter of fact, she also boasted the she was the teacher of Vice's brother as well and said that the both of them are brilliant students. Vice then issued a shout-out to all of his other teachers growing up while the other hosts greeted all the Filipino educators watching the program and said their thanks to what they have done to all the students that they have imparted their knowledge with.
