It is known ghat Senator Trillanes IV and President Duterte had been at each other’s throats even way before the latter was in office. Sen. Trillanes was never shy about voicing out his opinions regarding the former long-time mayor of Davao. The combative senator does not hold back when criticizing President Duterte and his controversial policies because he always has something to say about Duterte. He has criticized President Duterte’s rape comments, his tardiness during the Independence Day rites, and his bloodthirsty rhetoric when it comes to the war on drugs. All of these are some of the things that caught his attention.
It is quite safe to say that there is no love lost between the two politicians that were stated. It seems that now, it was as if the conflict has bled down to President Duterte’s children. Senator Trillanes IV has found a new person to criticize in Davao City and that is Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte. In a recent Facebook post, Paolo Duterte released a collage of pictures of politicians who are part of the Liberal Party (LP) – the same political party which of that Sen. Trillanes belongs to.
In the photos, it feature Liberal Party members posing alongside Kenneth Dong. Dong is actually the alleged middleman involved in the P6.4 billion shabu shipment smuggled into the Philippines from China. The caption in Paolo Duterte’s post said: “Ang saya nilang tignan parang business partners! Seryosong seryoso. Ang galing niyo ha ibang tao pa pagbibintangan ninyo ! Eh kayo kayo lang din pala!“
Paolo Duterte further said in his post : “Reminder kay Senador Ugok: Unahin mo muna yang mga nagpapakain sa iyo. Yong mga bomoto sayo kaya naging senador ka. Unahin mo muna silang protektahan bago ang interest mo. O baka nakalimutan mo lang inumin ang gamot mo sa UTAK kaya pumuputak ka na naman? O baka kaya nakahanap ka ng supply mo ng COCA kaya sumasabog na naman utak mo?“
Senador Ugok was indeed referring to Sen. Trillanes. He is one who never backs down against someone and back down from a fight, Trillanes had a rebuttal for Paolo Duterte’s insult. “Yung medyo kabastusan portion o ‘yung tema ng kanyang mensahe, hindi ko na papatulan ‘yan pero it reflects na ito ay hindi pinalaki nang maayos ng kanyang magulang. At hindi rin ako nagugulat kasi kung bastos ‘yung tatay, malamang bastos din ‘yung anak.“
