A concern netizen and teacher Choniil Mascariñas shared a post that went viral and made everyone's heart break.
Choniil Mascariñas is an elementary school teacher at Tud-ol Elementary School which is a multi-grade school that has a total population of less than 100 pupils with only 4 teaching staff in Barangay Tungao, Butuan City.
It takes about 40 kilometeres grom the city proper to reach the Sittio Tud-ol, where teachers are forces to walk almost 4 kilometeres in a muddy land just to arrive at the school in order to teach the children.
But last July 14, something caught his attention as he decided to eat lunch with his pupils. A certain student if his named Joshua was eating rice with junk food which piqued his curiosity and decided to video and interview the kid regarding his situation. According to Joshua, he only had 3 pesos for his allowance, so he has not enough money to buy regular food which is nutritious enough that a kid needs.
Ever since he posted about Joshua's situation, people are now reaching out to Choniil Mascariñas for them to be able to reach out their donations for the kid. If you look at his Facebook wall, you will see posts of him buying groceries and delivering them to Joshua and his family.
People are also sending him messages to inquire how they could be off help. Choniil is really cooperating with them and is still open to help, so if any of you would like to send some donations, please contact Chonniil Mascariñas.
