One of the most memorable male lead s of the 1990’s, Ricardo Buensuceso or more popularly known as Jeric Raval may not be as young as he was before but surely people can’t deny that he looks much younger than his regular age. With his good built and fresh-looking face at the age of 42, the industry surely is lucky to still have this guy around. Raval was known for doing fight and action scenes but eventually genres like that became too mainstream and eventually he ran out of projects which made him leave showbiz for a while. During those times outside showbiz, he worked in business for Senator Lito Lapid’s office.
He is currently part of the hit Philippine drama series, “Ang Probinsyano” where he plays the role as one of the allies of Coco Martin in the Bilibid prison. He is also part of the cast of a latest film entitled “Double Barrel: Sige Iputok Mo!”, which will open in cinemas on August 2. Together with him in this film are stars like AJ Muhlach, Phoebe Walker and Ali Khatibi, directed by Toto Natividad. With projects still in line for him, the media are quick to ask to what is his secret of keeping himself young. According to Jeric in an interview with Inquirer, the main thing that keeps him young is that he has no vices or whatsoever like drinking and smoking. He keeps himself busy working for his family which doesn’t gives him time to do such things.
Looking so young for his age, he has always been mistaken as his daughter’s boyfriend which is now a newly-signed talent for Viva Artists Agency. Her name is Janina Carly Buensuceso or now known by her stage name Janina Raval, his youngest daughter to ex-wife, former actress Monica Herrera. People were quick to speculate her daughter as her girlfriend or new wife. Well people can’t help to think that way, because Jeric had the image of having 8 children to two different women. But Jeric is now happy to where he is right now, knowingly that his daughter will soon be in the spotlight as well, all he wishes for her daughter is to break a leg and he will always be there to support her. Jeric taught her daughter everything that he knows about the industry and he knows that her daughter is ready for anything that might come her way.
