Wowowin is a Philippine pre-primetime variety show presented by Willie Revillame and broadcast by GMA Network which aired its first episode on May 10, 2015 and is directed by John Paul Panizales. Wowowin is a show that combines the fun and excitement of game shows, the comedy and drama of talk shows and the exuberance of musicals as it claims in its website.
According to the GMA Network website regarding Wowowin, the show will surely be filled with laughter one minute and tears of joys the next. It is a show for everyone to play, new games are designed to be enjoyed by everybody- guys, girls, college graduates, out-of-school youths, kids, seniors, probinsyanos, and even foreigners.
Just like his previous noon time show in the previous network, Wowowin gives opportunities to a lot of people and this is where Super Tekla was discovered. Super Tekla is a stand-up comedian whom Willie Revillame gave an opportunity to become the co-host of his noon time show. With that Super Tekla's career boomed and instantly became a success.
But it seems that he didn't took care of his career that wisely, for now he is being rumored that the comedian will be leaving Wowowin. There are also rumors that the reason why the comedian is being exiled from the show is that he is allegedly into bad vices but of course this has yet to be still proven.
According to an interview with Lolit Solis by Philstar she said, "Sayang na sayang ang big opportunity na pinakawalan ni Tekla. Saan pa siya pupulutin kung true ang balita tungkol sa pagdispatsa sa kanya ni Willie?”
“Sa true lang, hindi ako masyadong natatawa sa mga joke ni Tekla kapag pinapanood ko siya. Mas type ko pa nga si Donita Nose na nakakatawa ang mga hirit at pralala sa Wowowin.”
There is no doubt that there is a possibility that the comedian is back to his old ways. For a long time ago, he used to be addicted to drugs and there is a slight chance that he couldn't control himself. Well if this is true, then his career has become such a huge waste.
