The man behind well-known songs that has been played in various television shows, teleseryes, concerts and many more; truly Herminio Jose Lualhati Alcasid Jr., more popularly known as Ogie Alcasid is gifted and a genius. Ogie Alcasid is a Kapamilya singer-songwriter, television presenter, comedian, parodist, and actor. He is currently the President of OPM and Commissioner of the Edsa People Power Commission. This man has been part of various networks in Philippine television and wherever he may be, one thing is for sure, his talents always lead him to success.
Now that Ogie is in the Kapamilya Network, he is Ogie one of the judges of the “Tawag ng Tanghalan” segment on ABS-CBN’s noontime show “It’s Showtime.” However recently, the previous grand winner Noven Belleza from the singing competition in March of this year, was arrested for a case of alleged rape.
Noven was arrested in Cebu during the early morning of July 15 after his guesting at Vice Ganda's concert, "Pusuan Mo Si Vice Ganda sa Cebu". The victim was actually a 19 year old local performer who was supposedly the victim of rape by the singer. Details are further to be announced, as the case goes on.
However some celebrities like Ogie shared his thoughts regarding the matter. According to Ogie's personal opinion, he prays for Noven and believes that he is a good man. However, he is not bias of whatever may happen because there are two sides to the story and all he can do is pray for both of the sides. He wishes that good things will prevail soon, and hopefully the truth will come out to serve justice.
